Ontario Students Against Drunk Driving (OSAID)
Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving, more commonly known as OSAID, consists of hard working and dedicated students who work to lower the rate of impaired driving not only at Marymount Academy, but throughout the entire Sudbury community as a whole. The dangers of impaired driving are no secret here at Marymount and in Sudbury, as we have lost far too many in senseless tragedies, including some of our own Regals. OSAID plans events throughout the year that keep the message of sober driving alive in our school, as well as give our students more opportunities for fun and involvement. Last year, our OSAID chapter had it first annual Fruit Punch Pong tournament, and the champion title was claimed by Mr. Beaton and Mr. Bartolucci. We hope they will be challenged by new fierce competition this year! Look forward to fun OSAID events like OcSOBERfest and OSAID Week! OSAID is open to any students interested in joining throughout the year, and it is a great way to make new friends and help a great cause! For answers to any questions regarding OSAID feel free to speak to president Jessica Pugliese or vice-president Victoria Scagnetti. Help keep your friends and family safe on our roads by joining OSAID!
